Hello, I wish everyone here greetings. I have enjoyed this community, and have had a fascination with grave yards for some time, the craftsmanship, and artistainship that can be found there can be completly amazing. This is my first time contributing to a live journal community and I hope that my offerings , while humble, are acceptable for all. :)

This moment above was captured as a small treat, you can see all of the stones in this area are older, there was no new graves anywhere near, I joked with myself saying they must have dropped in on an old friend.

the second picture above I enjoyed immensely, now a days you do see many intricate markers, or themed markers, but none of them in my opinion have the same flair and style of these older stones. I should have taken a closer picture of the hand with the finger pointing up, just to show the artisanship... to think they did that with their hands. truely amazing. This was not the oldest marker in this graveyard, but none the less, it was quite beautiful. I may post some more photo's as I sort through what I have. All critiques are welcome.

The graveyard is in Hackettstown , New Jersey, and is off of Mountain Avenue. After a bad breakup, it was quite good to get out, and do something that I enjoyed. And I hope that my pictures bring you some pleasure too.
